Building ecommerce growth beyond the storefront
A&M Cupcakes had earned a strong reputation locally, but most of its business still depended on customers visiting its physical stores. COVID-19 restrictions made that dependence difficult to sustain, affecting customer access and day-to-day operations. The brand needed a way to continue selling online while building a stronger digital presence that could keep existing customers engaged and reach new audiences.

The approach
01
Build the bakery’s ecommerce storefront
We created a WordPress ecommerce website that gave A&M Cupcakes control over its product catalogue and allowed customers to browse, order and pay online. The site also gave the team a simpler way to manage products and update the store as the business evolved.
02
Grow the Gen Z audience on Instagram
Instagram became a key channel for reaching younger customers. We posted consistently, created content around the interests of the Gen Z audience and used interactive formats such as quizzes and contests to build engagement and grow the community.
03
Expand the brand’s reach with Facebook
Facebook was used to connect with millennial and family audiences through product-led content, promotions and regular brand communication. This helped A&M Cupcakes stay visible across a wider customer base while directing more people towards the online store.
The stronger digital presence helped A&M Cupcakes grow its audience across Instagram and Facebook while bringing more traffic to its ecommerce website. The brand built a combined social following of more than 10,000 people and maintained regular interaction with customers through its content.
Social media also became a channel for supporting online purchases, with followers regularly engaging with the brand and moving from product discovery to the ecommerce website.
"Had a great experience working with Ammar and the team of Marcabees. They helped us immensely in our marketing plans. Highly recommended for all kinds of digital marketing solutions."
