A&M Cupcakes had built a strong local presence in Colombo, but COVID-19 restrictions disrupted its physical-store business and exposed its reliance on offline sales. With Christmas approaching, the bakery needed a stronger ecommerce channel and a way to turn seasonal demand into measurable online revenue.
The approach
01
Build the ecommerce foundation
02
Connect social with online purchasing
We established a more consistent social media presence and connected product-led content directly with the ecommerce experience. Customers discovering cakes, gift hampers and seasonal products on social could move naturally from interest to purchase.
03
Turn Christmas into a focused campaign
For Christmas 2021, we developed campaign creatives, copy, landing pages and Facebook Ads across key seasonal product categories. Campaigns were A/B tested and continuously optimised as performance data came in.
The Christmas campaign went live on 14 December 2021. By the end of the month, Facebook Ads had generated 47 online orders and LKR 287,500 in ecommerce revenue at a 185% ROAS.
The campaign reached 119,849 people and generated 669,934 impressions. Online advertising accounted for 42% of A&M Cupcakes’ overall Christmas sales, giving the business a meaningful digital revenue channel alongside its physical stores.
" Had a great experience working with Ammar and the team of Marcabees. They helped us immensely in our marketing plans during seasonal offers and they provided a one stop shop experience including designs, copywriting and ads placement. Highly recommended for all kinds of digital marketing solutions."
